Photo exhibition on Independence Day of Bangladesh
Photo exhibition on Bangabandhu to be held at Old Central Jail.
A three-day photography exhibition titled “Bangabandhu Manei Swadhinata” (Bangabandhu is the meaning of independence) will begin on March 25 at the old Dhaka Central Jail.
The entry fee for the exhibition has been fixed at Tk100. The money earned from tickets will be spent to bear the cost of the exhibition.
Inspector General of Prisons Brig Gen Syed Iftekhar Uddin made the announcement from a press conference on Wednesday.
A total of 171 photos will be displayed in the exhibition marking the Independence Day of Bangladesh.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will inaugurate the exhibition on March 24.
The authorities opened the jail for visitors for the first time in November last year on the occasion of the Jail Killing Day.
